The Company:

Our Client is a rapidly growing e-commerce technology company. Their core product is a private marketplace that connects shoppers with online retailers via a revolutionary personalised deal-creation service.

Launched in 2012, they have experienced considerable success and have recently secured a major commercial agreement for 2014 and beyond. As a result they are now scaling the business with particular focus on accelerated growth of integrated retailers (merchants) and catalogue size.

The Role:

We are looking for talented Senior Merchant Consultants to join the company at this exciting stage and become a senior member in a quickly expanding merchant acquisition team. The main function of the role is to on-board the most commercially valuable merchant targets through an end-to-end, consultative sales process. You will be supported by an implementation team, as well as a range of existing integration solutions and industry partnerships.

The role will involve taking ownership of the entire sales cycle and meeting set targets. Your responsibilities will include prospecting and building a target pipeline using CRM, approaching new merchants and developing a strong pipeline. You will be responsible for driving these through to close.

Once accounts are live you will retain ownership as the first point of contact.

The Person:

Applicants should have a good knowledge of ecommerce technologies and experience selling SaaS and/or into online retail. Buying experience and retail supply chain knowledge would also be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable pitching to C-level executives, as well as relaying basic technical information around technical integration (although this is not a technical role).

You will bring a proven track record of software sales into retail (preferably SaaS), ideally this will have been gained selling into online retail.

This is an early stage technology environment, and you will need to be energetic, versatile and positive in your outlook and possess a sense of adventure.
