Senior E-Commerce Software Development Manager

We are working on behalf of a leading retail & consumer business, with a number of distinctive brands known all over the world. Due to continued success and on-going expansion, they are seeking to further build their Digital team, with the recruitment of a Senior E-Commerce Software Development Manager to be based in the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Deliver e-commerce websites across desktop, mobile and tablet formats
• Design, architect and manage the development of the both commercial and non-commercial websites in line with brand and market strategies
• Act as lead to gather requirements from the E-Commerce, Corporate Marketing and other business teams,
• Evaluate requirements for technical feasibility and deliver functionality
• Lead the .com side of integration and development, ensuring secure data transfer between web site, internal systems and third party service providers.
• Ensures the sites developed are robust, secure and scalable
• Hire, train, mentor and manage web developers, architects, including offshore development teams
• Comply with and enforce company information security standards and practices

You should be a hands-on Web Development expert with considerable experience of leading and managing the development of enterprise level e-commerce and m-commerce sites.  You will also demonstrate extensive experience of integrating back-end systems such as Order Management, Finance, CRM, Payment and Fulfilment etc.  You will have a deep knowledge of web development technologies and methodologies and be familiar with working in an Agile environment. You will have expert knowledge of PHP, Magento and Joomla along with exceptional communication, analytical and influencing skills and the credibility and gravitas to operate at a senior level.

We will accept candidate CVs from any consumer orientated background, but ideally those who have experience gained from the retail sector.
